OnBeat solar headphones are a need of the current generation due to its capablilty to charge gadget thereby avoid battery drain after use throughout day. Andrew Anderson, an audio engineer from Glasgow, UK has launched the headphones on crowdfunding site Kickstarter in a hope to have it out for sale by next year.



According to him, the headphone is a lightweight, fully adjustable folding headband with well designed ear-pads to provide comfort for ears and integrated with rechargeable batteries and full headband solar panel. With this flexible solar cell covering the full headband, able to capture max solar energy possible has a charge capacity of 0.55W. To get this solar energy saved it uses two rechargeable light weight Lithium Ion batteries placed one within each ear cups. The headphones can be charged even using computer via usb as a backup during rainy season.
